Support for Ukraine’s Defenders

Blue / Yellow

Since 2014, the non-governmental organization Blue/Yellow has been continuously providing multifaceted assistance to Ukraine’s defenders and civilians. Over time, the organization has become the largest pro-Ukraine support initiative in Western Europe. Every donated euro is transformed into drones, helmets, vehicles, and other essential aid for Ukraine’s defenders.

Blue / Yellow’s Support to Ukraine

The main focus of the organization is humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine, equipping soldiers and volunteers with life-saving and other non-lethal supplies.

Blue/Yellow began its activities in 2014, following the annexation of Crimea. From that moment, it started raising support for Ukraine, building connections, creating a support network and infrastructure. Eight years of experience allowed the organization to react instantly when Russia launched its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022: while others were still gathering information, Blue/Yellow was already delivering targeted aid to the soldiers fighting for Ukraine’s freedom and helping repel the attack.

Many people in Lithuania and abroad who want to help Ukraine choose to donate to Blue/Yellow, knowing the organization ensures that urgent and effective aid reaches Ukraine. This has also been recognized internationally – in 2022, Forbes ranked Blue/Yellow among the top ten organizations worldwide supporting Ukraine.

What Kind of Support Does Blue / Yellow Provide?

Thanks to its long-standing experience in Ukraine, Blue/Yellow guarantees that freedom fighters and civilians receive the most urgently needed aid quickly and effectively.

Equipment and Supplies

The main categories of aid sent to Ukraine’s defenders include:

  • Drones and accessories: FPV drones, signal boosters, anti-drone systems, etc. Over the years, Blue/Yellow has delivered more than 5,000 drones of various types to Ukraine.
  • Vehicles: from ordinary cars to specialized transport – ambulances, trucks, trailers, boats, etc.
  • Gear: clothing, ammunition belts, backpacks, gas masks, weapon cleaning kits, sleeping bags, compasses, etc.
  • Protective equipment: bulletproof vests, helmets, balaclavas, etc.
  • Optics: thermal imagers, collimators, optical and laser sights, rangefinders, etc.
  • IT and communication equipment: radios, batteries, radio sets, satellite phones, GPS devices, etc.
  • Other technical devices: radar systems, metal detectors, X-ray equipment for sappers, diesel heaters, etc.
  • Medical supplies: tourniquets, paramedic backpacks, first aid kits, stretchers, oxygen concentrators, blood-warming systems, and other medical items.
  • Energy solutions: generators, solar panels, external batteries, and power grid components.

Blue/Yellow maintains strict quality control of all aid, ensuring it is properly stored, transported, and delivered directly to the front lines – exactly where and when it is most needed according to tactical conditions.

Training and Instruction

Since 2023, Blue/Yellow has been organizing training for Ukrainian soldiers. These sessions are led by experienced instructors with NATO military backgrounds. They provide both beginner-level and advanced training in reconnaissance, close combat, night operations, trench assaults, shooting, and more.

Rapid and Effective Support

With years of experience, established infrastructure, and trusted connections in Ukraine, Blue/Yellow is able to respond flexibly to the constantly changing realities of war. The organization ensures that the most urgently needed aid is delivered swiftly, securing an advantage in the fight against the enemy.

Importantly, the structure and processes of Blue/Yellow guarantee that donations are used as effectively as possible: 97 cents of every euro go directly to frontline support.

Spreading Awareness About the War in Ukraine

In addition to direct support, Blue/Yellow works tirelessly to raise awareness about Russia’s war against Ukraine. Representatives of the organization regularly meet with the public, opinion leaders, and decision-makers in Lithuania and abroad, encouraging active involvement in supporting Ukraine.
